have noticed that our British Blue girl will listen very intensely to music whatever is playing and yowl regularly. Our Maine coon boy will only take notice of very high frequencies. The other two are oblivious to any music.
The only similarities that can be drawn are some musical tones are close to some feline sounds, like a distressed kitten, fear or sexual excitement. Their reactions therefore are responses to certain musical notes that are similar to their own vocabulary.
The reason for your cat's behaviour maybe due to an underlying medical reason. If you are concerned about your cat, always consult your vet or a cat behaviourist for professional, qualified advice.
